Finally got round to hiding 2 caches in Dublin today. One needs a camera to complete, the other needs a camera because of the scenery. I've not posted links yet as the cache's aren't live, but this is a heads up to keep an eye out.
I hid my newest cache on Friday - Exudation named after the original cache Effusion5 that I found on 5/5/05. Whilst out caching with Plook I also managed to find his Maized and confused cache that was supposedly missing - and all without a gps too!
I placed 2 micros this morning, Crock of Gold? and Lake Placid Haiku. Currently pending reviewer status, these two micros are slightly different than the normal ones. The first cache needs a su doku solving to get the coordinates, and the second cache requires the online log to be written as a haiku.
I don't normally put out micros if I can help it, but as I'm short on cash a micro is a cheap alternative and I have tried to put them in fairly nice locations. One is in a playground and the other has a nice view at sunset.
I placed my new cache, 5r3bmuN y8 gn1tn14P this morning. Will be interesting to see how long it takes people to find it after it has been reviewed. It's not currently live. This is a puzzle cache which I hope is fiendishly hard to keep some people occupied for a while.
My first US cache was placed today, You Don't Know Jack so if you are reading this, you get a sneak preview that there is a cache in the pipeline, but you won't be able to access it until it has been approved. it has been live since 9.30 last night so what are you waiting for?
Finished off the hiding of my latest geocache - this one is rated a 5* difficulty and is a members only cache so it will be interesting to see how long it is before someone cracks it - Between the lines
If you've worked it out, then please don't spoil it for the other people who haven't found it yet - one of the reasons this post is not commentable.
I've hidden two caches this weekend, both of them mystery's. One should be fairly easy and has clues for the other cache which I think I've made difficult. I guess it all depends on how laterally minded other cheshire cachers are. Hopefully they will like it and won't kill me too much! I'm just awaiting approval from Cheshire County Council and geocaching.com
I hid my first multi-cache, Around-about Congleton last Saturday and in my haste managed to muck up two of the calculations needed to find the cache. Regardless, three people still managed to get the data needed for the final location, but this was the elusive bit of material needed. By Monday morning I had apologised profusely and it had been found.
Placed a micro cache near Jodrell bank this morning. A nice walk out and placed in a field with a great view of the telescope. It was really quiet in the field - not a sound could be heard which was nice and relaxing.
