My car has been fixed-- temporarily...
the very wonderful guys who are our mechanics are very kind and save us money-- the thing that was wrong with our car was the Carburetor (actually pronounced CAR-burr-Rate-ter in america but Car-burr-RHETT-ter over here!)
and instead of charging us an arm and a leg and spending a couple of days stripping it down and cleaning it out, they've put magic cleaning solution in our engine to clean it out for us and charged us a lot less than the strip-down would have cost!
They were even kind enough to NOT mention (to my hubby) that it was *possibly* caused by my good self getting a little enthusiastic when last adding oil to my engine (therefore over-filling it and causing mists of oil to go into the carburetor and clog it a bit, making the engine choke when trying to start).
So I'm back with my full independence-- whohohooo!
