Here are some piccies of us at the Lambing weekend -- what a fab day out -- Andy's folks and his sister and her hubby drove across to our house and we all came out for the lambs... sooo cute!!
The mummy ewe in this picture sure had her hands full -- a moment before I took this picture, all four lambs were climbing on her back playing King of the Hill!!
I got to see this little guy being born... (the one climbing around) about half an hour before this picture was taken... the ewe was pregnant with twins, and it took ages between the twins for the second one to come out!! Finally she seemed about ready, and the bloke running the whole show went over to her, kind of spun her around on her side and the lamb came right out! It was pretty gross... lots of gore... ew. But then there was a bit of comedy relief as the big brother was climbing on the mum and getting in the bloke's way as he tried to clear the lambs airway so it could take it's first few breaths.
Here's me and a little friend of mine... he was cute but very wriggly!!
Andy's Mum had much better luck with the one she held! She got a nice calm one... he was very sweet... as you can see from her face-- she really enjoyed herself!
