Tek care.... deer ont road!

This particular little feature on the Columbus Dispatch Newspaper's website talks about deer in Ohio and where and when the peak times of accidents with them happened in 2004.

I was surprised that Franklin County (which is where we are) had so many collisions (more than 400) because it is a pretty well developed area, so I wouldn't have thought there were that many deer around to collide with!

Main points of the feature -- October to December is the peak time of year when the deer are most active, and 6 to 7pm is the peak time of day when the most accidents occurred.

So watch out for the deers me dears!!

What Sci-Fi character are you?

Apparently I'm Princess Leia...

A strong-willed herald of causes against injustice, you passionately strive to right the wrongs around you. Somebody has to save our skins!

Leia is a character in the Star Wars universe. See her character entry at the Star Wars Databank for more information.

Wallace & Gromit

and the curse of the Were-Rabbit

is an EXCELLENT film!!! We went to go see it this evening -- Andy took me out on a date! *fans for any readers swooning in disbelief or shock*

*grin*

We went to see it over at Easton -- our favorite cinema... it's a huge place with over 30 theaters inside! As W&G is playing on three separate screens, with about 7 shows a day on each one, it wasn't much of a surprise that we were the only ones to see it at the time we did.... but it sure was nice to have the theater to ourselves!! That meant we could laugh at all the extremely British jokes that others wouldn't get, and we could read out loud all the funny names on things... like Wallace's secret bookshelf with all the books named with puns on cheese names... Fromage to Eternity... East of Edam... etc.

Good ol' IMDb have a great huge list of trivia facts about the movie here. Peter Kay even did one of the voices -- and he did a smashing job. We're huge fans of his.

It was weird to watch that film knowing that the original sets for all the other series etc. have burned down. I know the sets for this one didn't, but still.... poor Aardman lost quite a lot.

Anyhoo -- for a wonderful time and a good laugh... go see it!
