Well I'm still fighting to keep that silly machine on. (the cpap mask really bothers me and keeps me awake at night -- the irony being that it's supposed to keep me asleep at night!!).
Work is going extremely well, really enjoying it, been loving the discount (which is GENEROUS!) and really been loving teaching the classes.
Last week I had a week off from teaching -- no classes whatsoever. This week I had one Monday night which went really well (cat/dog album), one tonight (scrapbooking basics parts 4 and 9) and one coming up Saturday (scrapbooking basics 5 and 10).
Last Monday (the 12th) Mom taught me how to do the basic crochet stitch. I'm hooked (ha ha look ma i'm punny!). I'm working on a mini blankie for Adelyn -- so Steph can just throw this little blanket in the carseat with her and it won't take up huge bunches of room. Mom's really big into knitting at the moment -- she's got like 4 projects on the go, and when I was over at her house the other day, I saw all four projects out on the table/couch and I commented that all she needs is 6 cats and she's ready for old age! :)
Next week I head off to Texas. Andy is staying here, (his choice). I fly out Friday the 30th. It should be a great time with family -- we're looking forward to all hanging out, and I should be getting to see my cousins on my mom's side as well as my dad's. (the wedding is my dad's youngest son getting married -- so I'll be seeing bunches of Ciarochis at the rehearsal dinner/wedding etc. -- and then I'll be seeing the Kellys afterwards.
We don't know yet what we're going to do for the 4th. Should be interesting. We fly back on Wednesday, which happens to be Dad's birthday!
His best present is that he'll get to have breakfast (and possibly lunch) with his granddaughter, Mia.
I'm looking forward to seeing the lil stinker too.
ok... not 1,000 ... more like 4, but feels like more!
at least 3 of the four have no preparation work (i.e. cutting paper etc.) and I just have to prep what I am going to say!
And the fourth is card club -- so some cutting involved, but at least it's only for 3 or 4 people, and it will be fun because my Mom is going to come and take that with me!! whohoo!!
I'll post pics/scans of the results...
we sure hope so!!
This morning I go for my results from the sleep studies... I meet with the doctor first of all, and then I meet with the respiratory therapist... to get my CPAP machine!!
WHOHOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!
Can't wait for that.
So I'll let you know tomorrow how it worked out.
I'm closing tonight at work (by myself -- again...) so I should be good and tired by the time I will be going to bed.
Friday I got to close the store (yippee) -- my 3rd time this week... and then Saturday we had a 12-hour crop (when ladies sign up and pay money to come and work on scrapbooking from noon until midnight -- they get to stay after the store is closed at 9pm and we feed them and give them some prizes and things).
Man was I exhausted after that crop -- I had tried to not consume any caffeine after a certain point (4pm) on Saturday -- (probably was too late by that point, should have kept off the caffeine from about 11am onwards!!) nevermind...
So I made it to church yesterday and it was nice to see everybody (we'd missed the week before because of the cottonwood/cottonweed blooming and sending oodles of little fluffies into the air -- you should have seen us -- we were a pair of runny snuffly moany noses. It was awful. It was so bad that I (keep in mind that I have issues of insomnia etc.) slept from 8pm Saturday through til about 11am Sunday. Mega. Of course my little friend Nyquil helped some too -- for those of you in merry olde england -- it's Vicks Medinite.
After church I ran to Krogers to buy groceries while Andy ran home to start the tidyup -- Mom and Dad came over for a BBQ to celebrate their anniversary (the big 3-6) with us. I found this cute bracelet that you put pictures into (little ones) and made one for Mom -- she loved it! I'll have to see if I can get a picture of it to post on here. And for Dad I found a store that does embroidered words on shirts etc. and got him a nice red golf shirt with the name that Mia is calling him -- Guapa. He lovvvvved it. He might even be wearing it to work today... I'll have to find out.
Anyhow -- good times had by all.
