So today I had to have a mammogram (my first one) because a week and a half ago I found a lump in one of my breasts.
Talk about scary.
I went into the doctor that same day and she examined me and said she couldn't really tell much more than that there truly was a lump there and that I needed to have a mammogram and an ultrasound of the lump after that.
So today was the mammogram and it wasn't painful and it wasn't scary -- plenty of people had told me roughly what to expect from it... it would have been a more pleasant experience if it had been my first mammogram because of it being about time for me to start them rather than b/c of me having found anything though!!
The technicians were very nice and made me feel at ease. And I am happy to report that it is just a lump of tissue and that I don't have to worry about it -- just have to come back for another mammogram in 5 years.
BIIIIIGGGG HUGE sigh of relief -- praise GOD.
but I haven't really felt up to writing... the old "if you don't have anything nice to say.... don't say anything at all..." adage...
"What's going on?" you ask...? Much of the same... low energy -- docs are still adjusting my meds...
Still not feeling like myself -- my hair is different (coarser and now a grey hair or two!!), my skin is different (very dry) and I am shy. ME! SHY!??! The very idea. PREPOSTEROUS... but true *sob* Been also suffering from major depression and anxiety... moreso than ever before... so the doc added another prescription to my ever-growing list... Zoloft.
Please keep me in your prayers for monday -- have an important doctors appointment about something potentially scary. (my 5th doctors appt in less than 2 weeks)
