my eyes are heavy and i didn't sleep well last night so you get the short version now, and i promise to write out the longer story tomorrow or the next day...
the laser procedure was this morning at 9:45 -- they dilated my pupils twice (4 drops) and then waited 20 minutes then did the procedure (which i will describe in gripping detail) which didn't hurt as much as i was afraid of but did hurt a bit more than i cared for it to... it's too soon to tell if it did anything so watch this space ...
in other news -- i found out today that i am finally getting my engagement ring (which i'd sent off to a good friend who is a jewelry store manager for reconstructing -- resetting the heart diamond and he suggested replacing the cloudy sapphires with some nicer clearer ones) -- i will include pics when it is back on my finger!! looking forward to wearing it as i haven't been able to wear it for about 4 years... at least!
Well i have no idea who she is... *mischievous grin* but i do know why she is so excited... she is holding up some fabulous "in-progress" socks knitted for her by the wonderfully talented Gerald aka knittingbrow and the yarn is Cider Moon (which I LOVVVVE and which is also no longer a company at the moment *sob* but hopefully will come back someday???) and he even designed a pattern for socks JUST FOR ME!! How sweet!!! He also has some fab candids of our Sock Exchange -- which was so fun -- you can tell from the pics we all had a blast -- and I agree with Caterwaul -- we missed you Jen!!
sorry if you got multiple posts on rss -- I'm still getting used to the new MT (still hate it but don't want to start over with a different program... yet.... but i'm close!) -- don't know why they slaughtered it so badly... grr.
Are currently up on my Flickr account -- check out the fun socks I just made for Beth for the Sock Exchange -- which was SOOOO fun!! I'm already looking forward to the next thing -- a 2 skein surprise exchange!
I also put on Flickr pictures of the moebius bowl/basket I had made for Andy for Valentine's day (but he thought it was too "girly" so sod him for a game of soldiers I'm keeping it for myself!!!)...
