My first experience with a Dyson was not good either… the plastic handle broke off right at the point where a steel pipe ends in the handle. There is an obvious stress-concentration point at the end of this pipe with a groove in the plastic at exactly the same point where mine broke off. Interestingly enough, I could see no useful purpose for this groove.

When I called their customer service department to complain and order another handle, I mentioned that they have a design flaw with this product due to the groove in the plastic. The lady from Dyson stated very firmly that their products “have NO design flaws”. All I could possibly conclude from that statement is that the handle is DESIGNED to break off right there so as to increase their spare parts business. That Dyson fellow is a clever one.

HAHAHA… O Andy. You were forgetting one thing. It didn’t take us 45 min because we were following good ole’ LT. More like 20-30min. But hey I was tired and ready to be home. Hope you had a good time and I think we should all do it again soon!!
