MSN PLus with *optional* spyware

I did a bit of research on the spywareinfo forums this morning which led me to the msgplus.net article that claims that the advertising software is an optional install and can be skipped by not selecting the appropriate box on install. However, they also claim that uninstalling MSNPlus also goes through the uninstall routine for the ad software.. We all know that lop is extremely difficult to get rid of and certainly is not uninstalled by uninstalling it... Therefore mine, and Neils recommendation is not to install MSNPlus.

I tried custom install and I was presented with NO options other than install directory. I had the "optional sponser" program installed. I uninstalled using add/remove program, but guess what, I still have the ie tool bar (persistent) and popups galore. This is nothing but a shameflul scam

Do people really download programs from the net even today and let the program choose what to install all by itself?
Dont bash the program, bash the users for being stupid enough to give the control over their computers to people they dont know.

Firstly, how is the stupid thing removed without forking money (plus will not uninstall for me).

Secondly, it is up to the providers as well as the clients that their software does not include things like this. Microsoft gives a certain credibility for some fools, including my dearest brother!

It is true, I got it and the only way to get rid of it is to format your computer.
I have try spy sweeper, Noadware, adwerSE, Register Mechanic, hijackthis no one can erase it.

Don't spend your money buying any program that say that they can erase it, format your computer is better.

When u install plus you can choose whether you want the OPTIONAL sponsor installed or not. Plus, maybe you need to upgrade to the latest version.
