Skype

I've started to see quite a lot of press about Skype and did wonder how they were going to make their money as their plan to offer free voice calls to other skype users seemed to be a great idea but bound to crash under the volume. However, The Register reports that Skype are likely to charge for premium services. Not sure what these would be. I don't know anyone who uses Skype - hands up anyone?

I know of a couple of people who're using it. And it's supposed to be really good.

I'm gonna give it a try as soon as I get a mic.

I've had it installed for some time now, but sadly, I haven't used it yet as I don't know of anyone else using it.

Perhaps those numbers will begin to grow. :-)

I've used it to chat with friends in the US. Takes a lot of memory tho' - my PC needs a memory upgrade (only 64MB RAM) so it tends to freeze any other programs operating at the same time.
