Ximeta NDAS disk

| | Comments (1)

I was at Staples this morning and was intrigued to see the Ximeta NDAS disk which is an external hard disk (80GB) in a box that has an ethernet and a USB connection so it can be plugged into a USB2 port for backup of local machines, but also just plugged into a switch and then available on the network from any pc. At about £100 it didn't seem too bad a price either. I've seen and used external usb2 disks, but not seen one with both a network and usb connection. The only link I could find for a uk online shop is at Misco's Ximeta page or Scan Ximeta results. Not sure about performance but it seems cheap enough for quick, temporary storage on the network.
