cache found rss feeds

| | Comments (4)

With a couple of freeware downloads and some batch programming I've been able to create rss feed's of my latest cache finds (and a few of my close cachers) which means I can easily keep up to date with what caches they have used rather than having to load up their individual profiles or webpages.

So, how does one implement this? I know how to use .rss feeds. What does one do with the .rdf?

For instance, I am unable to see the cache info for the cachers in your feed. All I can do is download it.

an rss feed is the same as an rdf feed. Just with a different extension, which I think relates to the version of rss that you are using. You should just be able to add the url of the rdf feed to your
rss reader and it will quite happily subscribe to the feed in the usual way.

Okay, I am still a bit confused. Do I edit the .rdf file and then upload it to my site? Do I link to it from your site?

you would just link to the feed on my site. Obviously if you wanted feed information from different cachers then you would need to have your own feeds on your own web space - but thats another story. If you need any more help then email me offline with your correct email address - see http://www.absoblogginlutely.net/email/ for my contact details.
