I went to see The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy yesterday afternoon at the dollar theatre. Earlier in the morning we were watching a film which had a really bad trailer for the film which made it look really bad. It didn't put me off though and I enjoyed the film. Pretty funny in places (I liked the ideas scene) but the seats in theatre made the film seem a lot longer than it was. The film was sufficiently different to the original to still make it interesting and worth watching.

Carriage Place is great, isn't it? I watched the movie there not too long ago.

I didn't quite understand the idea scene. I probably need to watch it again (and get a fresh lemon) to really get it, I think.

What did you think of the Magrathea sequence ("...doing the oceans... oh look, that's Frank...")? I thought it was quite cool but rather long. I wouldn't mind it so much if they hadn't padded the beginning with the dolphin song too, but darnit, I want more. The BBC had more time to play with but far less budget and technology, but it does make an interesting debate of quantity vs. quality, doesn't it?

I want a knitted marvin doll that was cool!

Yeah, I liked that bit too. I've yet to see them offered as Happy Meal toys.
