Zoo poo

This ones for Anna -
We also went to the zoo yesterday and we were amazed that a certain Anna was not with us as we heard all about how vultures keep themselves cool by pooing down their legs and how when they are scared they throw up their last meal at the predator as the stink will distract them. A couple of minutes later after hearing this wonderful news we were able to see this in action as the vulture flapped around from the handlers arms, scaring a lady right next to it, and then as it was flapping upside down it got scared........
There were not as many photo opportunities with the animals as there was last time. I think this was due to the heat and most of the animals were sleeping. There were also a lot more young kids around who kept running in front of me as I was trying to take photos or they would yell at the animals and scare them off - I need to find out if the zoo has adult only times. The gorilla's were true to form though and were pretty active and they still seemed to enjoy frightening the visitors by suddenly slapping the glass that they had their faces pressed to.
