Offline Address Book troubleshooting

| | Comments (2)

OABInteg and Troubleshooting may be useful tomorrow. Two weeks ago a user didn't appear in a outlook address book on one machine but did on another machine and on the server. Hopefully these pages may help troubleshoot if I still have the problem tomorrow. (I'm hoping it will have solved itself over the past 2 weeks)

You will want to run repadmin /showmeta and look at your active directory objects. Your oab server might have pulled the data from a global catalog server that did not get that user object update.

http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?id=841273 also explains how often offline address books get generated and how to ensure you get the most recent one (which could take up to 48 hours)
