Red dwarf is available for download to watch thanks to the BBC and Vuze> Bah - scratch that - too many plugins and "security updates" (that don't actually tell you what they are doing) to install . You only get to watch it for 7 days thanks to DRM - I really can't be bothered to go through all that hassle.

A great video found on a non youtube site! Thanks to Becky for the link
Simpsons Trailer - looks good!
Someone has too much time on their hands. I'm not a fan of Starwars but this telnet of StarWars at towel.blinkenlights.nl is cool. (Say yes if you are asked to open an application and then hit enter a couple of times at the prompts. Thanks to In the Trenches
Kristen had the day off so I took the day off and we went to Cincinnati. We went to Newport Aquarium in the morning and I tried to do some geocaching.
We also saw Over the Hedge. I was not sure that I wanted to see it as the commercials looked too cheesy and I enjoy the comic online so didn't want to get disappointed by watching the film. The film was very funny but the ironic thing is that the film has been plugged by Walmart and Kroger a lot - yet the film is about the excess purchasing and food eating habits of humans. My favourite character was Hammy - the squirrel (thats squ-ir-rel).
I've loaded some of the pictures we took up to flickr - there are more photo's but these ones will do to start with.
A while back I decided to get the series 1 of Lost from Amazon from an amazon marketplace seller who had had good feedback. Unfortunately that was March 19th and I've still not received anything. However looking at the sellers feedback it looks like I'm not the only person with problems from this user (There was only one complaint when I placed the order). I complained to amazon as the positive feedback looked suspicious as people were saying they had received goods within 2 days but I hadn't even received an acknowledgement - amazon replied to tell me I had to wait until 28 days before I could claim my money back -the last day for the goods to arrive is tomorrow and then Thursday I'll be claiming. In the meantime, I'd recommend you stay away from peachtree30357@aol.com
Update I thought I'd delete my feedback and add something else to it - but it turns out that if you delete feedback on amazon then you can't add another feedback comment - my comment was "12 days from order, no goods, acknowledgement or contact from seller despite 2 emails requesting information" now it's "Still no feedback from this user - I'll be claiming against Amazon after tomorrow"
Blogging has hit the mainstream when an ad at the cinema advertises mycoke.com where you can have a blog (and do other stuff) on the coke site. I was quite amazed that this was shown on an ad, but then again the film we went to see was a sci-fi one, Aeon Flux, so I guess Sci Fi people enjoy blogging?
The film was pretty good with some nice special effects although there were a couple of moments where it dragged on and I almost fell asleep! It is similar to the matrix but not as cliched and thankfully they didn't do that bullet stop motion thing.
Don't Honk at an old lady especially if you drive a sensitive BMW. I think if I had been there when this happened I would have wet myself laughing!
We watched The Pacifier on dvd yesterday. Kristen loved the film and I thought it was "daft but funny". Like Vin Diesel, as long as you don't take the film too seriously and treat it as a Bondesque type film then it is pretty good. The commentary of the film on dvd is good too with a mix of jokes, facts and trivia about the film.
I went to see The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy yesterday afternoon at the dollar theatre. Earlier in the morning we were watching a film which had a really bad trailer for the film which made it look really bad. It didn't put me off though and I enjoyed the film. Pretty funny in places (I liked the ideas scene) but the seats in theatre made the film seem a lot longer than it was. The film was sufficiently different to the original to still make it interesting and worth watching.
Blingo is a new (to me) search engine that gives you the opportunity to win prizes when you use it to search for stuff. They only count your first 10 searches per day (so I guess you could go back to google after 10 searches) and apparently you could win all sorts of prizes. Angela won a free movie ticket but didn't give her referral code so feel free to use mine instead :-)

Speaking of movies, we went to see The Interpreter last night at the dollar theatre. As it was Tuesday, we got in for 50cents each - thats about 80p in UK money (as opposed to the 1350p it would have cost us in the uk). The seats were the old style cinema seating - no stadium seats or high backs but not bad. It was the first time I'd ever sat in the back row of a cinema but no hankypanky. The film itself wasn't bad - it did go on a bit and it was quite different than I expected. I felt the plot was pretty predictable (which spoils a thriller) but there were still some unexpected moments - I must confess to jumping in my seat when the first gunshot went off. The gruesomest (is that a real word?) scene in the movie was when a bus was blown up - this is too close to the timing of the London bus bomb for comfort really - that scene really hit home and judging from the audiences reaction, it hit others too.
Not a bad movie, but one I'd recommend you see from the comfort of your own home on dvd on a nice sofa.
No, not a film about two of our friends, but a very funny film about two assassins, married to each other, who are eventually sent to kill each other. A very funny film, loads of action (including a car chase) and eye candy in the form of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt so everyone is happy. Well worth watching - Kristen wants to go see it again already!
"It's 6am, its chucking it down with rain - lets watch a movie" This was Kristen's opening quote when she came downstairs (after the "what are you doing up?") this morning. I woke up about 5am, couldn't get back to sleep so got up and started reading my rss feeds - something I've not done for a couple of days so have loads to catch up on. Kristen woke up at 5.45 by the birdies singing in the window and is seriously thinking about training Winston to catch them :-)
So we're now watching The Pink panther Strikes Again.
We went to see Robots tonight at the cinema. It was an excellent film and the funniest one we've seen for ages. There were not too many people in the theatre - I think we were the only two adults without accompanying kids. As the ads were showing before the film, Sky had a series of ad's where the tagline was "What do you want to watch?" - to which came the reply, "I want to watch Robots!" A short while later the voice said "when is Robots coming?" - brilliant timing as at that moment the film certificate appeared on screen.
Watch out for the "extra's that go on in the background but don't bother waiting for the outtakes at the end as there aren't any -the only downside of the film. The british have their own dubbed version with Eamon Holmes doing one of the voices - I guess he got jealous of Fiona after Sharks Tale.
Friday I took the day off for my birthday and we met up with Tash & Dave (non-bloggers) to go to Birmingham's BullRing shopping centre and then to Outback for tea. The bullring was an interesting shopping centre - not the usual meadowhell/trafford centre type layout of shops and the outer design is definately funky in the extreme. I was not impressed at the parking fee's though - it is VERY expensive to park in the middle of birmingham - we paid over £5 for 3 hours parking. I managed to get one geocache done, A bit of ..... which is a bit of a cheat really as it was a virtual and needed a photo taken of a bull statue. After lunch we went to see Hitch which was very good and funny (although the funniest bits were shown in the trailers for the film. We went to an AMC cinema and that was suprisingly cheap, £3 for the matinee performance and £5 for shows after 6pm. The local Vue cinema near us charges £6 and you have to pay about £3 for parking so a night out at the cinema works out pretty expensive (which is why we go on Orange Wednesday's instead). Photo's uploaded to my flickr page.
UGO.com Film/TV - EXCLUSIVE BONUS TRAILER - The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - pretty funny and I'm looking forward to it!
Just got back from watching Oceans 12 and the film really is naff. Not worth watching so save your money. At least we only paid half price due to it being Orange Wednesday today.
We went to see The Incredibles tonight. Kristen purchased her ticket and I got in free as I was doing a cinecheck. The film was excellent - very well drawn, funny and a good plot line too. The only down side is that there wasn't any funny bits/blooper reel at the end of the credits, much to the disappointment of the 30 or so of us who had stayed to watch all of the credits.
Friday night was free film friday (for me anyway) where I got to trailer check for Sharks Tale. I wasn't actually looking forward to this as from what I had heard, on the grapevine is "how daft that they've actually put the heads of people on the fish". However we decided to stay and watch it and I'm really glad we did. It was very funny and well worth watching. The weird thing is that the british audience had Fiona Phillips as the news reporter but the americans have an american reporter doing the voice, but Fiona doesn't get a mention in the credits, or on IMDB. Kristens comments are here.
Next Friday I get to do Alfie and Alien vs Predator.
Went to see The Village yesterday at the cinema. There were a couple of jumpy moments and overall I thought it was pretty good although Jeremy didn't think so. It helped that I hadn't seen any spoilers for the film. Unfortunately, like Jeremy, we had idiots who insisted of talking and giggling throughout the film and I'm convinced a lot of them weren't even old enough to be there in the first place.
Kristen has just watched Brother Bear on dvd. I spent the entire time catching up on my rss feeds. After she finished the film, she realised that the canadian moose provide a commentary for the film which we are now watching/listening to. It's really funny and the best thing is that I don't need to watch the screen - I can just listen to it.
We watched Daddy Day Care from a video last night which was actually pretty funny. The annoying thing is the quality of video vs DVD is appalling.
The Shrek2 trailer is out and is very funny. Puss in Boots sounds good.
We went to see this film last night which was hilarious. A great film with good special effects which don't really on really blurred, fast motion, long distance shots so that noone realises that the picture you are seeing at the moment is computer generated. There are a lot of funny lines from Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow. Yet again I spotted a boob in the film (not that kind!!!! - there are a couple of shots where you can see the heroines bra strap yet they were not invented until way after 1900!)
We got the DVD of Johnny English yesterday as we really enjoyed watching the film at the cinema. We've not had chance to watch it yet, but I popped it in the DVD drive of the laptop this morning just to see what was on it. The screensaver(s) were naff - I thought they could have done a lot better than the two that are on there. There are 6 wallpapers which are not that good pictures. The one of Natalie Imbruglia is not good at all! It looks like they've grabbed hold of her head and pulled upwards stretching her neck by several inches.
I did get a good score on the "pretend to be a secret agent game", which had three flash games strung together in a sequence - a shoot the targets, drive a car, and land on the building game - I think this had the most amount of work spent on it.
